Does anyone have any feel for or data on how long battery life is on a full charge with back light on or off for number pad?

If your talking the large battery... Not the smaller battery the first run of unit's shipped with...
I get about 7hr's to 7 1/2 hr's depending on activity and volume setting...
The backlight is a minimal power draw compared to the rest of the radio...

My times are with the keypad backlight on... It's doesn't make a noticable difference if on or off...

Some time ago, Upman said the lighting only drew a fraction of a percent of the total battery use.

The SDS100 draws about about 700mA total. Changing the lighting settings changes that by maybe 50mA.

Did you think that your radio's big butt could get any bigger, blah Ha-Ha.

The original battery went straight down and was flat in the back. The bigger battery does add stability
