SDS100/SDS200: SDS100 nylon case scannermaster

I purchased this case and I think the build quality is really good especially being cheaper then the soft leather one. I haven’t received the bigger battery yet to it doesn’t fit the greatest but it’s doable. With the bigger battery I feel it will push the buttons closer.

What does the belt clip look like on the back? Is it metal like some of their other nylon cases? Post a pic of the back if possible.

That one does say it is fit for the large battery so it should work going forward. I wonder if it will still fit for those with the small battery or if the radio will just bounce around in this case.

I'd still like to buy a small battery and associated battery door but now that Uniden said they will no longer supply the original small battery, it's probably not worth pursuing that idea any longer.

I don’t currently have the new battery so what happens is that the buttons aren’t fully up to the plastic. It does fit enough that it won’t come out but I’m sure the fit is better with the larger battery.


Also the clip is metal on the back I’m not at home will take a picture tonight

I would only buy the case if the keypad would lock And if I already had the new battery but without the keypad lock it would be useless to me

There is six holes in the back supposedly for air flow I can’t be sure how well they work but I feel as if the scanner is just warm in it not burning hot

I have already ordered the SDS100 case from Scanner Master and already own the SDS100 case from Uniden but until I receive my large battery, I have been using the Uniden A2829 BCD436 case on my SDS100. It fits SDS100 pretty good using the small battery. Scanner Master cases are sturdier than the Uniden cases so I use the Uniden cases for general protection and Scanner Master cases when a more durable protection is needed.

I also purchased the Uniden A2829 nylon case for the BCD436HP (https://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-013541) for my SDS100 with the original smaller battery and I find the fit is quite good. I'm waiting to see how the larger battery fits in my current Uniden case (when we finally receive our batteries from Uniden) before deciding whether or not to purchase another case that was designed/fitted specifically for the SDS100 with the larger battery.

I received my big battery and can say the case fits perfect now the buttons are right near the plastic and has a nice snug fit
Definitely recommend this case
