Tempting, but looks shaky:

Based in Malaysia, aizaln_59 has been an eBay member since Jun 01, 2020
4 Positive feedback, but only as a buyer
Item location: MUADZAM SHAH, Malaysia
US $40.00United StatesEconomy Shipping from outside USEstimated between Fri. Jul. 17 and Wed. Aug. 19

Has 2 SDS100s, 2 Home Patrol 2s, and 2 BCD996P2s for sale, no completed items.
Stock photos.

Usually, the most obvious scams have hundreds of expensive items for $19.99.

Any thoughts?

Take Care, Rich

I do see some serious red flags, however that doesnt mean its not a legit seller
- New seller from Malaysia
- All of a sudden selling some top end scanners and radar detectors - possibly became/is/working for a Uniden distributor but even in that case (nothing low end no analogs etc)
- 4 positive feedback all from other SELLERS, he never sold an item/got positive feedback for an item
- most of the 4 sellers appear to have 1 penny listings
- all 4 positive feedback was on June 22 (Seems odd all same day)

Not to be contentious, but they did nothing for me the one time I bought something through them. I've never forgotten or forgiven them.
Did you use the Resolution Center to file a case? eBay will refund out of their own pocket if necessary. Things change, and eBay had a problem many years ago, probably more than a decade ago.

Yes, I did.

They did nothing for me and I banned them from getting my money.

2 of my BCD996P2's are from Amazon at only $277.00 each and my BC125AT from Amazon was only $76.00.
If you didn't know, Uniden sells repacks, returns, and scratch and dents through Amazon Wharehouse as "used". All of the units were in perfect pristine new condition. Best deal ever, and even better when using Amazon gift cards.

At first...i was buzzin at ebay for a 436 or a sds100.....and the prices started to go higher than retail stores (brand new)....Then, I checked out Unidens registration site.....found out that as a new owner of a used radio, I may NOT be able to access ALL the incentives listed on that site. So instead of bickering and trying to win bids or BIN prices.....I then decided to buy NEW and from a retailer. My mom is the best authority....she always told me 'you want to buy electronics......buy NEW....you dont know how the previous owner treated that equipment".

There are some deals to be had, provided you can live with it.
I saw a BCD536HP that was used for streaming only but had the RTC time keeping issue but the repair is under warranty. $499 new, or $350 for the used BCD536HP.

Some also get decked out with all the upgrades, so you potentially save some cash there, too. But stay away from the elevated risk ones (too good to be true $99 SDS100, not CONUS/US, etc)

I scored a great deal on my BCD436HP for $368 on Amazon new not even a few months ago. And most recently, I dived head in and picked up a SDS100...
