Just in case Uniden is watching this forum and there thinking on doing an update to fix this scanner and it's problems I noticed that when doing searches between two frequencies the scanner for some reason when scanning the frequencies up after awhile it changes direction for some reason and starts scanning down.

No it's been doing this since I got it, it starts to search up and the after awhile it changes direction and goes in the down direction, maybe it's getting tired going up and it want's to go down hill for awhile.:giggle:

If you turn the scroll knob, that reverses scan direction.

It could be the rotary controller that's beginning to fail. It shouldn't change search direction by itself from a software bug. Make a hold on a conventional channel and advance channels by the rotary and step up and down in channels to see if the rotary really works without a glitch.
