The SDS 100 can display system activity, but how exactly does it do this? Because the P25 system I monitor will have a high reading in the "A" column, which indicates high system activity. But I also log the system with Unitrunker on PC and it will show all 15 Trunked Channels and their current activity, and it will only show 2 active calls but the SDS100 has a full bar of activity... So why does the SDS100 say the system is highly active, but isnt?

I'd Imagine that the SDS100 gets the information from the control channel, but if it did, it should be highly accurate, id imagine?

Example photo from the SDS100 Manual (does not show problem from this post):

Screenshot from unitrunker. Note that 14 of the 17 trunked channels are used for voice...

Perhaps it shows how active the system are, not how many ongoing TG's there are, compared to when the system are idle with no activity at all. If there's always at least one TG active all the time it will then show a 100% activity as it never goes to an idle state.

I agree. The status bar could be an on/off or yes/no reading. So its either theres activity, or none. Its probably not much more complex than that.
