You have DMR & NXDN signals listed for your county, It's up to you whether you want to unlock those functions on your scannner, You should start by exploring what has already been found and conveniently listed by following these links, to start.. If at some point you'd want to explore these additional signal types with your scanner you can add the upgrades at any time..

Upgrades or updates? Do you want to add DMR for example as an upgrade, or are you just trying to update the database and/or firmware?

So, pay attention to any entries that have DMR or NXDN. Read over the descriptions, do those interest you?
Do you mind paying $50 or $60 USD extra to listen to a few more things?
Especially if those "few more things" are the school buses, garbage trucks and utility companies.

I’m looking at getting an SDS100 and am interested in the DMR and NXDN upgrades. Looking at ScannerMaster, each is $85. I’ve read that you can login to the Uniden website, enter your serial number and buy the upgrades from them. Does anyone know how much they cost from Uniden direct? Thanks.

It's cheaper to buy direct from Uniden. You get a license key that you then enter into your scanner to unlock the upgrade's capability.
In the same boat here in Ontario. Not trying to hijack your thread .If your firmware is up to date, you're all set.

Paid and have the DMR upgrade no problem.
Now attempting to install Sentinel on the windows 10 laptop. won't accept it, wants something called NET Framework version 2.0 . What is this software about ? I just want to no fuss, no muss. Download sentinel and upload the latest software and frequencies into my 2018 vintage sds100.
Already let myself get suckered into downloading some slim something software from here at radio reference .

Hello, I just got my new SDS 100 and was trying to download the Sentinel software but it keeps saying I need .NET 2.0 then directs me to a site that only has 5.0. So I download it but it keeps saying to download anytime I try and install the program. There are no instructions. Does anybody have...
Only you can answer that. If you aren't interested in monitoring the DMR & NXDN systems in any of the links Brent provided in reply #8 then no, you won't need any of the paid upgrades
