SDS100 with DMR?

Yes the SDS can be DMR enabled but how can one tell if theirs actually has been DMR enabled? Is there something on the screen that says 'dmr' or is their a combination of keys to press in order to check?

You have to buy a key to enable DMR on the scanner and when you get the key you install it in the scanner.

1. On the scanner, press MENU.
2. Select Settings --> Upgrades, then press E.
3. Scroll to DMR/MotoTRBO or ProVoice, then press E

It will either ask for the key, or tell you it has already been upgraded.

If you're in the market to buy one at auction with DMR enabled, always make sure the seller can supply a picture of the screen stating "DMR/MOTOTRBO has already been activated..." Don't just take their word for it (same applies for the other paid upgrades). If you end up buying the radio you'll also want to ask the seller to provide you their activation key in the event you need to send the radio out for repairs, you'll be able to get the upgrade reactivated
