SDS100 won't update past firmware 1.05.01

I have a new SDS100. The first thing I did when I unboxed the scanner was update the firmware. But it only updated to version 1.05.01. When I attempt to update now, Sentinel says that the scanner is already on the latest version. I know there have been a number of releases since then and it should update to 1.10.0. I just talked to support and they are stumped (it's been sent to a product manager and I'm waiting to hear back). Has anyone run into anything like this?

Menu \ Settings \ See Scanner Information \ Firmware Version should show Main 1.10.00 and Sub 1.02.01. If doing the firmware update process isn't getting you there, you've got a problem of some kind.

You may have an older version of Sentinel go get the newest version.
Version 2.02 Revision 01

Updating the database should trigger a prompt to update Sentinel if that's the case.

Per Jon's suggestion, a new SD card fixed this issue.
