Yes. He did my SDS 100 and a 436 in one batch. Absolutely beautiful. Looks 100% OEM on the SDS. He is very responsive too!!

Is he doing this to SDS100? I sent him two messages and no response. I think the messaging system might need help.

Well just had mine quit charging I am guessing overheating. It is 92 here also so that might have contributed to it but still not encouraging.

Several conditions will stop charging. Is the battery hot-to-touch, or warm? Warm is normal. You can restart charging by re-enabling it in settings, and see if it trips again. It's 95 here, and i haven't had any heat-related problems with my SDS100.

Did just that now waiting to see if it happens again. It was warm and I know it is normal. I will post if it happens again.

My only complaint is the audio out of the speaker. I find it very tinny. It’s loud enough, but lacks any bass and is hard on the ears. I have tried some Bluetooth speakers, possibly a little better, but I had hoped for better sound quality. Has anyone found any solutions to this?

So then what are the correct settings?

Squelch set high enough where it is not trying to parse bits from noise. Typically that setting is around 3, but may vary depending on RF noise levels in your area. With squelch on my 536 and SDS100 both set to 3, the SDS100 scans about 20-25% faster, and I've done tests on the 536 measuring scan speed at very close to 80 channels/second.

If you set squelch too low, the scanner will try to decode bits from a frequency programmed as digital, even if there isn't a signal on the frequency. The scanner won't hang indefinitely on the channel like an analog frequency, but it will slow scanning down considerably.

When the scanner's internal temperature goes above a certain limit, charging will temporarily be shut off until the scanner cools down. I had the scanner in my truck yesterday, and it shut off charging when I stopped for gas and lunch and left the scanner on in the truck. The charging light came back on by itself after I got back on the road with the A/C running for a few minutes. You only have to reset the charging menu if you get a low USB voltage error.

Well it did it again 5 minutes ago. The battery was just warm but the plug was quite hot. Going to try another usb plug and see if that makes a difference.

What is the ambient temp?

A heavier-gauge USB cable may help.

Since my A/C is broke the room is quite warm. But sitting in front of 2 fans with the scanner in front of me. I would think the supplied cable and plug would be sufficient. Changed out to a spare plug and cable will report back.

The cable may not be a problem, the antenna connector gets pretty warm, too.

If the cable has a high resistance connection in the plug, it may work fine for a device that draws less power, but heat up when powering a high-drain device like the SDS100.
