Awesome looking radio, but after my SDS100 purchase “my sources inside Uniden” tell me I won’t be able to afford this one right away.

Looks nice, but not sure if I could read display better in mobile application. Too bad on WiFi that was a great feature. I just picked up a 2nd 536 for $200 so I’ll sit tight.

The large display can be customized to show as much or as little info as you desire thereby making it a great mobile scanner.

I like the look of it and the specs. Will be anxiously awaiting reviews by early adopters when this one hits the market.

Is the SDS200 the same size as the previous scanner? Will a user be able to DIN mount one in the same location as the 536? From all the pictures and videos this scanner looks fatter.

Update, found my answer. Its Din-E 1.5 package the size of the older BC780 BC785d and BC796d. If you have a Jotto setup you will now need a #425-6129 Faceplate.

Can someone post a video of the unit working a VHF or UHF analog system? Also try a marginal analog system as well as FM Broadcast band.

These are some problem areas that the SDS100 never really did well with, not sure I would dive right in until these functions are improved.

It should not be a failure with DSP as many of the cheap dongles do a far better job on analog V/UHF and FM Broadcast then the SDS100.

And is this effectively the same display on the SDS100 turned sideways from the Portrait to Landscape position?

Wish all those ports were on the back. Gonna be hard to have a clean panel install if you need to connect a network cable.

In this live video you hear the person clicking with his mouse (maybe a RH) changing the settings through the LAN cable in real time. That seems cool but wonder if it can be programed on the fly also?

He said he was using his computer. RH, not likely. Yes you can program on the fly like all other Uniden Scanner.
