Before I fabricate one I wonder if there is a ready made sun shield for my SDS200 mounted atop my dash. The display gets bleached out in direct sunlight. (The photo was taken at night.) (Using a BuiltRight Industries mounting bracket for my 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat. It mounts in the indented glove tray seamlessly.)

From what I've heard, there's a button that changes the screen to black and white which should make it visible in the sun.

With my thanks, no. I prefer the multi-colored display. I don't fault the display… even the display that came with the truck has issues with sun glare from time to time. I made a shield out of heavy paper stock that did the trick temporarily and was just exploring other possibilities.

I was wondering about this earlier today. It will be interesting to see what people come up with.

I saw something on eBay a while back. I can’t find it now, it was a 3D printed screen shade.

LOL. I learned my lesson with my RS Pro 2042. The sun melted the case within 30 minutes of Houston summer sunlight. I never did that again.
