SDS200 - is this normal ?

Is it normal for my SDS200 to load all databases and favorites every time I power up the scanner ? This takes about 20 seconds. I don't remember my HP-1 doing that.

Yes, depending on how many FLs you have turned on to download and monitor in the menu, and if you have total database on to load.

The HP only loads whatever is designated - either one or multiple fav. lists and/or full DB, whatever it loads it scans.
The SDS has the option of loading, but not actively monitoring - either via menu or quick keys.

On the HP you probably only have one FL or the entire DB loading, if small it's quick and hardly seen, but it will show it loading.
