Why will my sds200 not pickup any of these frequencies? I know the first is encrypted but I don’t understand why not the others. Thanks in advance

The first listing says P25E in the mode. This is encrypted; no scanner can decode it. The Law Tac and Fire Tac freqs are likely low power; you'd need to be close to the scene to hear these. The water freq is not likely to be very busy on weekends, and maybe only occasionally during business hours l

Are the appropriate service types enabled?
I’ve got them saved on auto

Exactly & I stated that I understand that, however the others should be receiving correct? I live about a mile from twn

They’re on auto far as I can tell, I’ve had to setup manually since the program don’t work on apple computers

Press Menu, then scroll to Service Types and enable the appropriate ones.
I done that, still haven’t had anything on that frequency come in. Wonder if the location on the setting has anything to do with it?

I would guess that most of the traffic on PD 1 D has moved to the encrypted PD 1, as for the T/A and Fire ground, you'll need to be in the immediate vicinity, like 1/2 a mile or less because they are usually low powered simplex. Multi-Dispatch may mean that is a paging channel, not voice. The water channels may be meter readers and not voice. But, as others have mentioned, setting the scanner to auto does not turn on the Service Types.

Just for diagnostic purposes, program whatever National Weather Service frequency is used in your area. Assign it a Service Type that is active in your Profile.

If the scanner stops on the weather channel, you can Avoid it. If not, then there is a bigger programming issue.

I’m picking that up as well as several p25 departments that’s a lot farther out than the PD. Scanners doing good just can’t fine tune that one department when I think I should be able to do so

What "one department"? As several others have mentioned, your police are fully encrypted (mode P25E) so they cannot be monitored by any scanner. It wouldn't make much sense to me for Prestonburg to encrypt their dispatch channel yet leave others analog conventional so it's quite possible they discontinued use of them although the database still reflects the old analog info

Are you sure Prestonsburg PD uses those channels often enough to hear? There is a lot of joint dispatch operations and they may be using Floyd County channels. (Considering all possibilities).

I agree with setting the audio option to Search which casts a wider net on chance the database may be out of date.

I know this is an older post, but this may help someone else that runs across it. With Prestonsburg City, yes Police is P25 with AES256, so it can not be monitored on any scanner. The other channel they have list Pburg 911 D is actually the Fire Department analog which still works. The only other channel you may hear traffic on is Prestonsburg Police/Fire "Sector/Ch A" which is now call Interop but you rarely ever hear any traffic on it.
Pulling straight from RR into the SDS200 was one of the dislikes I had about it, most things in the area I like to program manually so I know exactly what they are. A bigger reason why I went back to my 996P2. For the same price I can listen to KSP and EMS on DMR just fine.
