Curious, I plugged my programming cable into the rear of the SDS200 "Micro USB" port, but it won't recognize it when I go to program it, like I do on the front port.

Is there something I can do (a setting maybe?) to be able to program from the rear port? If not, what is it for?

You can use the USB port for a bandscope function that Steve Holloway programmed.
It could help you determine what filter setting would be the best one to use.

Yea, on one of my mobile 200's, I was wanting to leave a cable plugged into the rear, with the cable run to where I could just plug it into my laptop as needed. Looks like a minor amount of wear on the front USB, just wanted to save it. (And pulling the little SD card out each time is a little tedious)

No worries, thanks for the replies. Would be nice if we had an option to route certain functions to certain ports. These things were designed to evolve and gain additional functions, but I am now wondering if we are going to have to just be happy with what we have. (Last FW update April of last year)

Don't worry guys...front USB port is the only one that works. I should know...I have several, unlike people that yap and have neither SDS100 or 200. Rear is NOOP. Use the front one only for programming.
