I'm trying to replace a corrupted 8GB SD card on my SDS200 with a new 32GB card and continue to get the "SD Card File Error" message prompting me to use Sentinel "Clear User Data" to initialize the card. I've done this a number of times and still get the same error. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks - Bill

When the box pops up, check the box to display all drives, click ok, then Write to Scanner.

Thanks, I haven't been able to find my card reader and my old PC doesn't have one, so I'll have to pick up a reader before I can proceed further. Another question: when the files are finally finished transferring to the formatted card is the procedure simply to disconnect the cable?
No .then you have to Write to Scanner to load Favorite Lists

Here is the process I use when I get a new SD card. Might not be efficient but is effective.

1. Use the SD Formatter Utility to format the card
2. Start Sentinel
3. Do a Clear User Data (may need to display all drives to find the new SD card)
4. Do a "Write to" scanner for your Favorites Lists and the Full Database.
5. Unmount the Scanner/SD card

It goes much faster with a card reader rather than using the scanner. As time goes along, you will want to update firmware, Favorites, full database etc., so investing in a card reader is good.

I suggest extra SD cards. They are really inexpensive these days, less than $10. Get the endurance card for a little longer life. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/products/micro-sd-cards/ci/39505?filters=fct_capacity_568:32gb

I use the Transcend card reader. No adapters needed for the small cards. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...p=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&lsft=BI:514&gad_source=1
