yeah that connector looks fine, unless the attachment from the bnc to the pcb internally is bad then you could try doing a factory reset (after full backup) for grins, but i think it has to go back to uniden, not sure if the flat $90 repair fee still applies, otherwise i'll give you $100 for the parts :)

And the coax connection inside looks ok but not quite sure what to look for.
When testing for bad coax and connectors, tune to a known strong NOAA station and open up the squelch, set it to 0. Then listen while you wiggle on coax and connectors in the whole chain from where you are certain it is ok up to the antenna. If you detect a change in noise level or even begin to hear a faint signal, then investigate that area closer. It could be a bad soldering inside a connector but usually when you wiggle the coax it should make enough of a temporary connection to at least change the noise level, it will increase in level when seeing the antenna.
