I use the plug in freq manager. Is there a way to import a large amount of freqs into it in a favorite ? Like I have a group fire, for my area. Its only 5 freqs, I would like to create another for the whole county so when I travel and have my laptop I have everything I need..

Is it possible to take a bunch of freqs from excel and paste them into the manager?

And also, in sdsharp, radio settings, theres a box labeled order. What is it and what should it be set to?

Was watching a you tube vid and the hosts of the show were tracking ships in CA. They said set it to 10.

Bummer

I saw that but that looks like it would take longer than just tuning to each and hitting new.

Earlier today I made an Excel sheet that takes frequencies and names and converts it to something you can paste into the XML file (I too had a large number of channels I wanted to 'import'). But, it's not ready for prime time yet. You need to copy it (and paste as unformatted text), then replace an indicator (+++) with a carriage return to separate the fields. You also within Excel need to copy the concatenated field to another and paste the value to get 'proper text'.

I can put more emphasis on getting it done if you would like to try it. I don't think the +++ replacement will be possible, as I can't find any chr that will paste as a C/R, and if I make them separate lines in Excel, it gets very large very fast if you have say 100 memories you want to add.

Update: It's almost ready for prime time. Instructions have been made up.

In very basic form, it's enter or copy your data, copy a column in the result tab, copy that and paste into Word, and replace the tags with C/Rs which cannot be done in Excel.

One step might be able to be eliminated if I can find out how to automate a Copy/PasteSpecial command set within Excel. I've been Googling how to do that, but the manual Copy/PasteSpecial appears to be the only way to paste the results of a calculated cell so you can copy the results and not the formula.
