I recently acquired one of these on eBay. Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate a manual or anything about it. I think it's programmable, but I'm not sure how.

In the photos you'll notice it's missing it's microphone. That's probably why I picked it up for only $50!

Hi Michael, .... super nice find ! I was fortunate enough to pick one up a few years ago, & its very nice ( & rare ) ship to shore transceiver. I have not been able to find any material related to this model either, & wrote SEA when I first picked up this radio. The response I received, was simply a minila envelope with a few brochures on some newer, but no longer in production, S/S radios; not even an opening letter.
I've enjoyed listening with this radio; -- not quite as sensitive some of my other boat anchors, but locks on rock solid, & proves to be very stable. I like to use it with some decoders, & its great. I'll write back with more thoughts once I wake up a little more, - which should be about 3 more cups of coffee.
Also, if anyone comes up with anything - manuals/schematics wise, let me know.
Dan

I was just wondering if the audio is supposed to fade out when you push the SQUELCH/RF GAIN knob in. I've done it with the squelch set to open.

Also, I've noticed a few other defects this radio seems to have:

-The second digit adjustment tab on the manual transmit side is broken off.
-When adjusting the receive frequency, the third digit over only goes up to 7, and then the LED readout goes back to 0 and 1 for 8 and 9.
-I don't know if this is a defect or not, but the SHIP/SHORE button is momentary.

By the way, what does the A3A/A3J button do?

Along with that, what does the handset look like?

SEA 106 SSB Radiotelphone

From the picture it looks like a Stephens Engineering SSB Radiotelephone. Doing a few quick Google searches I was not able to locate any manual but did locate several ads in yacthing and motor boating books and magazines from the early 80's showing the radio covers from 2 MHZ to 23 MHZ at 175 watts and went for a price of $5,195.00.

The contact information at the time was Stephens Engineering Associates Inc, 7030 220th S.W.,Mountlake Terrace WA 98043. Hope this is of some help.
