First degree murderer reported to have escaped from Central Prison in Raleigh. State Capitol PD and Raleigh PD searching area now. Possible stolen vehicle believed to be used to help in escape.

With the help of OnStar tracking, Chad Lee Houser was arrested in Spring Lake on Friday night after he escaped Central Prison in Raleigh and stole a truck.

Vehicle disabled by Onstar, in cooperation with local police, Spring Lake PD found the stolen pickup and after a foot chase has him in custody.
