Corrections is now off of the analog UHF and moved onto P25 UHF TDMA? Check out P25 talkgroups 10500 to 10550 for activity.

Is that a question or a statement? Several of the talkgroups are already listed.

Recently this week, I noticed 12728 seems to be simulcasting Marine Channel 17. just like how 12727 is picking up Marine Channel 16.
Also, I am pretty confident the 126xx are FDNY encrypted talkgroups. A few of these talkgroups have same activity pattern as the analog CRN fireground rebroadcasts

The 12727 has disappeared again. Last time it came up was early last Thurs. morning. It seems to go away once every couple weeks and then comes back on. This is the longest absence yet.

This is kinda bumming me out. Does this mean when the current Smartzone system is depreciated, we won't be able to listen to fireground rebroadcasts on the P25 system?

I would say things certainly are trending that way.

I don't know if fireground frequencies would remain analog conventional, so perhaps not all is lost.

Listening today on smartzone div 13 all hands the transmissions sounds digital and robotic but it's coming over as analog. Also no Chirp at the end of transmission as well. Anyone else hearing this?

Yes, I have heard that as well. Sound like they are simulcasting the tac channel which is being simulcast on the phase II system encrypted over the Smartzone system. Could be wrong, but that’s the only conclusion I’ve been able to come up with.

Anyone know the expected timeframe for when FD will move over to the P25 system?

I expect soon, like maybe during the summer. Keep an eye on talkgroups in the 12600-12999 range for Fire and EMS using TDMA/P25 Phase X2 plus radio user IDs from 1178000-1188399.

Charles, there is no such thing as "P25 Phase X2", it's simply P25 Phase II (or Phase 2, if you like). X2-TDMA was a proprietary Motorola protocol that is no longer in use. I'm not busting your balls for no reason, but facts matter, especially when a member with a Database Admin banner under his name is posting. To add to the confusion, Uniden scanners still allow "X2-TDMA" systems to be programmed, however that is not the correct system type for the DoITT ASTRO 25 system, or for any current P25 system for that matter (FDMA Phase I or TDMA Phase II), and so incorrectly mentioning "X2" can lead to confusion. I'm sure you understand, thanks. ;)
