SEARM Meeting - 17 January 2015

Tonight is the monthly SEARM (South East Arizona Radio Monitoring group) meeting.
It’s always the third Saturday of the month.

We meet at the Village Inn Restaurant, at 4245 E. Speedway Blvd., in Tucson.
We start at 6pm and usually are there until 8pm.
It is informal and we usually get something to eat while we discuss and learn.

Tonight should be fun as we’ll also be demonstrating some SDR hardware.

Thanks. We did have a good meeting. We had two laptops running with SDR# and DSD+. We were able to play with the FCDB+, RTL, and AS.

The AS is new hardware for myself and a fellow scannerist, so we were able to demonstrate early usage, but we are on a learning curve

The FCDB+ was doing some great decoding of a local Cap+ system.

This really is an exciting new way to listen.
