I was surprised that 3 of the news stations in Phx had no mention of it, not to say that there weren't other big stories that likely overshadowed a fire in a heap of scrap metal. I was able to hear the 1st and 2nd Alarm dispatches, but couldn't hear anything on A5

The local TV news programs are mostly whatever their corporate feeds give them, big real estate sales in Scottsdale, little children playing sports, or other social stories. They do very little news now.

A White Mountain Apache cop was killed yesterday and nothing was mentioned of it for hours.

I need to build a cuckoo clock that is synched to WWVB and the Phoenix Fire alarm room for junk/recycling/scrap yard fires. When the 1st Alarm is sounded, a turnout clad cuckoo bird with a little white chief's helmet will emerge from quarters and chirp out the alarm. It will run endlessly for months until the two weeks of autumn arrives in January.
