Second Hand Unication G4 Password

Is there a way to completely reset the pager or password to get rid of the previous owner's lock on the device? I doubt it for security... so this unit might be headed to Unication, but worth a try.

Sure, send a message to the person it was bought off of, wait two days, loose hope, post publicly on a forum asking for information on how to bypass it... Original owner emails back an hour later after forum post with a list of 4 passwords that might work, one of them works, request for the thread to be deleted.

Wow - they should put that in the user manual! :lol:

Just kidding of course -- definitely something to look out for in the reseller market.

I suspect Unication doesn't want a password reset method released for various reasons and/or it may be like some other situations (like my Samsung phone!) where there is no password recovery option.

It would be good to get at least some response from Unication on this subject - I'm guessing you probably won't be the last one to ask this question or have the need to overcome the issue.

Flashing an older version of firmware erases the current programming file. That might allow you to write your file to it, then flash the newest version.
