Took a quick trip to Nebraska last weekend, and it seems Sedgewick SO is now on DTRS, TG 9200. I was only driving through, so could only listen for about 1/2 hour each way, but it sounded like them... The dispatcer's callsign was "Julesburg".

Logan SO was also on DTRS using the TG's listed in the database. At one point, a couple of units went to "TAC", which sounded like encryption on 4224. The main dispatch TG, 4221 was in the clear. Sterling PD was definitely still on 156.75, and Sterling FD made an announcement on 154.31 while I was driving through.

NE NET, 3998 was heard off the Sterling CF site, so some dispatch center must use an actual radio on that one.

I also heard a bit of traffic on 9008, which the database says is Phillips SO.

Yes Sedgwick is 9200 and are still using their VHF, Logan SO is on the DTRS buts that it for Logan county. Logan SO TAC will always be ENCY. Sterling FD has DTRS radios installed in all of their trucks but still use VHF. All of the other Logan FD have a few 800 radios but cant afford all the radios at this time and are looking at grants. Sterling PD is still on VHF and are looking for funds to switch over but not at this time. They also have a few 800 radios and use the LOGAN MAC TG for their use. And NE NET is very common between Logan Cty and Morgan Cty and CSP.

Good info! Thanks! Do you know if there are any other Sedgewick County TG's, like 9201, 9202, ect.?

I guess when we go camping at Ogallala this weekend we will find out if Sedgwick cnty fire has moved over and if Julesburg PD has moved, the dispatcher (who sounds like he is from Boston) will be easy to
recognize. I can't pick up DTRS at the "little lake" but VHF comes in fine, camping at the "big lake" opens up the radio a bunch, all most too much to listen to, NOT!!!

Cool, keep us posted on what you find out.

Also, aren't the Lake McConaughy rangers on 151.475 or 151.385 CSQ? It's been a couple of years since I've been there, but those would be the first two places I'd look.

I have not been down there this year yet but you are correct on the two freqs and with the change to a state trunked system soon (ya right) I can't see them switching channels on the older radios. Also one more freq to insert 151.205, that's game warden to dial up to a repeater!
