Not what you asked, I know, but ... I used FreeSCAN for years and was satisfied. I then upgraded my BCD396XT with internal GPS and Freescan wouldn't map properly so I bought ProScan. The cost is nominal and as I've discovered its abilities beyond FreeSCAN, I've been delighted. Its search and replace functions alone make the cost worthwhile. Search and replace to turn GPS enable on and off, search for groups with blank GPS coordinates, etc.
