Helping a small independent newspaper/website that aquired several older PRO197 and PSR410 scanners from me.

They want to run at least 3 live feeds for them with simple links or playback box on their website. The hope is that locals tuning in will drive ad revenue towards their digital, and more importantly aid locals in monitoring incidents such as active wildfires with life-hazard.

Free solutions preffered, but paid comercial may be an option dependent on price. I would have suggested ProScan but it doesn't offer any form of comms with non-Uniden, so no-go for channel info/display.

My Free RadioFeed app supports the PRO197 and PSR410 models for the text tags.

Depending on if you have to go commercial with paid software/hardware, don’t overlook the possibility of purchasing used Uniden scanners with @ProScan for a cost comparison. It may be more cost effective in the long run and will give you loads of useful features. Just a thought…

The system this will be running on is Linux based. I am thinking something along the lines of icecast + liquidsoap + web player.
Has anyone else done anything similar?
