SEGARRN progress in Camden County halted

I am a little late in making this post, as the information I have I read a few weeks ago. But the county commissioners voted to return the $1.2 million GEMA grant money back to the state for our tower to tie us into the SEGARRN. Apparently they have not made any progress in securing viable property for our proposed single-tower site, and they did not believe they would be able to by the november deadline they had to use the money. So the commission voted to return the money, that was mainly for infrastructure purposes and not radios and other equipment, back to the state and continue on using our good ol' faithful VHF radio system. So it looks like we are staying right where we are with that right now.
