Does anyone know of any tests or 'drills' SEMA will be doing (pref. near the St. Louis area)? I havn't heard anything, and just curious to see how active they are.

Also, has anyone been in the EOC (Emergency Operations Center, in Chesterfield at Ladue & Olive)? -Just curious to hear what it is like.

Havent been to the St Louis County EOC, was just at the St Louis City EOC a couple of weeks ago for a class, pretty nice bunker.

As far as drills, there is the SONS (Spills of National Significance) exercise coming up in June of 2007. The State of MO will be doing a massive earthquake exercise at the time which will more than likely include St Louis. will be good monitoring times I'm sure...

They just had an open house out there a couple of weeks ago I believe. I wasn't able to attend so I can't give you anything. Keep an ear on the once a month St. Louis County Skywarn net (1st Thursday of the Month, 19:00 on the 146.94 repeater) and they might announce another.

Incidently, I believe this was the first open house out there since Sept 2001.

Mike, I misspoke the other day about the open house at the EOC. It will be this Sunday, November 5th(monitoring the Skywarn Monthly net on 146.940 right now) and further information can found by calling 314-615-7857.
