To make life a little easier, I've created a favorite list from a local system (select the system in Sentinel and choose append to favorites list, create a new list). I then go in and nuke all the tower sites that I have zero chance of hearing.

My concern is when I do DB updates in Sentinel, if the system I created a favorite from is updated, do those updates flow to the favorites list or do I have to re-create the favorite each time I see the system was updated? Talkgroups don't get added or updated often, but it would be nice to ensure I have the latest information.

My gut says no, but I figured I should get the definitive answer from those in the know!

Your gut is right. Updating the Sentinel database does not update any of your Favorites list.

However, if instead of appending, you use ProScan to import systems and channels, ProScan has a feature that will compare what was originally imported, vs what now is current. ProScan does have a 30 free trial period, in case you want to do a test drive before purchasing. ProScan is $, with many features in addition to importing. It also supports multiple scanners, not just the SDS100/SDS200 scanners. (It does not check systems created via appending; only systems created, in ProScan via a database import.)

See ProScan's website for more information.

Thank you so much for both the replay and advice! Much appreciated. I'll check ProScan out.
