I am trying to set up my new scanner (Uniden BCD-436HP) to replicate the Broadcastify web feed ‘Ottawa Public Safety’ using the supplied Sentinel software. I have successfully set up a couple of favorite channels (OPP and MOH Dispatch) under the Bell Fleetnet system. I have not had similar luck with the Ottawa fire service.
I am trying to set it up using the Sentinel listing under Ottawa Public Safety (Canada - Ontario – Ottawa – County – Ottawa Public Safety – Fire). I am also including the Main and West transmitter sites. I monitor the Ottawa City Fire on the Broadcastify web service so I know when I should be receiving something, but over several hours my scanner receives nothing while there is traffic on the web service.
I know there is also an Ottawa EMS service listed under Ottawa Public Safety but that service is no longer used as the traffic has moved to Fleetnet. Is there perhaps something similar for Ottawa Fire that I can’t find or am I missing something in the setup?
