When setting service types for my SDS200, do I still need to select service types also, when I enable custom 1? or will custom 1 take care of everything by it's self? Thanks! :)

No, you need to set service types according to what each is classified in RR.

Custom 1 is not a global setting. It is my understanding that if you manually program something in, it defaults to custom 1, unless you remember to change it. Someone else, please verify, or contradict this last statement please.

Manual additions default to the Custom 1 service type. Custom 1 is a unique service type just like all the others. Enabling only Custom 1 will only allow things that are specifically assigned Custom 1 to be scanned, and all other service types will not be scanned.

Try to always have Custom 1-8, or how many there is, enabled in the profile setting as it is the only ones that you set yourself when you program something manually to Sentinel or the scanner and you probably would like to monitor those.
