Ok back to an old topic..what's the deal on the VHF sensitivity and for that matter overall sensitivity of the 396?...previous posts mentioned this issue but I have seen nothing recently, I guess because there have been so many other issues.

For me if sensitivity is not acceptable, the other bells and whistles don't matter much. Yes, obviously it is not the only important criteria, but I have heard this issue raised a few time concerning the last few uniden models...the pro96 and pro97 which I own perform extremely well, so I guess I am wondering what reason there is to spend another $500+ for a radio where the labels wear off the keys after a week and the sensitivity(especially VHF for my area) has gone down and the complexity to program has gone up...

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with improving products and the memory set up in the new Unidens makes sense, but in many cases for relatively simple systems especially out of major metro areas, the old bank system works just fine.
Please set me on the right track if this makes no sense!...
