Serial Cable

Hello I misplaced my serial cable for my HomePatrol 1. Can I find one that fits at a computer supply store, or do I have to have the proprietary one sold by Uniden. Note, i am not talking about the GPS need the one so I can update firmware. Thank you.

I know the SDS100 can be programmed with any standard USB to Mini-USB cable. Not sure about HP-1.

If I"m not mistaken, it's a standard USB mini cable. I'd check Walmart and I wouldn't pay more than about five bucks, even with the choke on it.

Our Walmart only has the MICRO USB might have to look at other places.

I've seen 'em in convenience stores. I'll bet I've got at least 8 or 10 scattered around my house. They came with my wireless instrument transmitters and receivers (4), my drone, my scanners, my GPS, etc.

That cable is a "micro" USB and WILL NOT work with the HP-1. The HP-1 requires a "mini" USB.

My bad. That is the one I bought for the Unication pager. Gotta go back a little further on Amazon list for the other one.
