Stupid question but howdo I manually put the BCD536HP in Serial Mode via the keypad on the scanner?

Connecting it to your computer via the usb cable is the only way that I know of, then selecting ".no" on the scanner.

I would recommend using a better subject next time so you get proper attention from readers. Also, this is not an advanced topic so it would not go in to the Advanced sub-forum. When in doubt post it to Tech Support.
