We have two desktop computers, both Win XP , one about 6 months old, the other about 3 years old.
On the new machine, I can use freescan no problem programming either our BCT 15X or our BC346XT. On the new machine, the serial port connects at top speed ab out 114, 000.
But the older machine, even with the speeds set lower (57,000), all I get is an error message - not enough resources. Freescan itself works just fine on the older machine - for example, I can connect and download all the frequencies from radio reference, and the "control the scanner" button seems to work, but it's a no-go when it comes to uploading any programming, or even downloading any programing.
any help appreciated.
