while service search scanning on the 500 what does the all do when its put in caps . thanks for any help

If ALL is in CAPs, then the scanner searches through all of the channels in that service search, even those that are "locked out". When all is in lowercase, the scanner ignores (never tunes to) channels that are locked out.
