I have all of the SETRRS programmed into my WS1080, but i'm confused. So a lot of LE departments transmit on "Hardin CO Disp" and i've kinda gotten down their callsigns to where they may be located. But, Silsbee seems to transmit on the actual "Silsbee PD Pat 1" and not Hardin CO, i'm wondering why some are through HC and Silsbee on their own. But Kountze has their own but doesnt transmit, Lumberton goes HC as "county 200's". I just wanna know why its like that.

A lot of PD's are dispatched by the SO all over the country, or have a consolidated dispatch like the Central Disp on the SETRRS which dispatches Nederland, Port Neches, and Groves. It saves money for the smaller agencies.

Hm true true, but why is there dedicated Koutnze PD channel that I havent ever heard activity on, and a dedicated Silsbee channel but activity all the time? (Also with other departments)

Cities once they are issued a radio frequency very rarely give up the license, they may not be currently using it, but continue to renew it in case it is needed in the future. Koutnze probably has held the license just in case they loose their agreement with the SO for dispatch services. This is quite common if you go thru the FCC licenses and see all the license held by a particular city, county, or state. Even private businesses rarely give up a license.

Ah ok ok, that makes a lot of sense, kinda just a back up just in case, i've been looking around the licenses and what not, but thank you very much
