Setting up BCD996p2

I have watched a handful of videos and I can not get anything. I am trying to get Huron & Erie County mostly for police/fire/traffic. Also to listen to the weather. I have version 1.10.01




The error I keep getting when sending to scanner is : Unable to set WX
No APCO band plan is available for Norwalk

I'm not familiar with that error.

I believe you'll need to program that system. Someone closer to you will need to verify.

I'd start over with your programming.

Use this Easier to Read Manual.

The no bandplan message is a known FreeScan bug. ignore it

As for the Wx alert, you need the FIPS codes for your area. You can look them up I suspect on the NWS website

Did you assign quick keys to each of the Groups (GRP)?

When you download from the RR database, the System Type shows Mot Type II / P25. Using FreeSCAN with a BCD996P2, the correct System Type and Site Type for the OH MARCS system should both be P25 Standard (Digital XT). Change the system and site types to see if that removes the request for the APCO band plan.

Besides, a lot of the Huron Co. system agencies are encrypted, so you may not hear a lot.
