THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
A SMALL CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI WILL
BE CAPABLE OF SMALL HAIL AND 40 TO 50 MPH WINDS THROUGH 700 AM.
ANOTHER ROUND OF SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED LATE TODAY AND
TONIGHT. A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL LIFT SLOWLY NORTH INTO SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MISSOURI LATER TODAY. STRONG
INSTABILITY IS EXPECTED TO BECOME REESTABLISHED OVER THE AREA. AN
APPROACHING UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL INCREASE VERTICAL WIND
SHEAR BY EARLY TONIGHT. THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY
BECOME MORE NUMEROUS LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING OVER
SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND SOUTHERN MISSOURI AS AN INCREASED LOW LEVEL
JET SHIFTS INTO THE AREA. LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...AND A RISK
FOR TORNADOES IS EXPECTED.
A THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX IS EXPECTED TO EVOLVE DURING THE EVENING
AND MOVE SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE MISSOURI OZARKS LATE TONIGHT AND
POSSIBLY INTO EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING
WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM COMPLEX ALONG WITH DAMAGING
WINDS. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MAY BE NEEDED FOR ALL OR A PORTION OF
THE AREA FOR TONIGHT.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
PERIODIC CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH EARLY
