Severe weather hits sussex county

Just happened- Lightning strike in Hopatcong Boro. Knocked out power transformers, trees down. Knocked out my power briefly, large area without power.

Bell Avenue near Hopatchung Road.

Heavy rains and high winds as well.

158.850 P.D.

Thankfully, no injuries so far.

Update:

Still small area (couple of blocks, tops) without power. I was not able to see any actual damage, as the area is still closed off. I did see a Verizon truck near the barricades, so I assume communications and power lines are being repaired.

Heard numerous weather related accidents, including a downed tree with trapped occupant, in Sussex county. Very wild weather.
