AREA AT GREATEST RISK...NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA.

DISCUSSION...
AN UNSEASONABLY STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY
MOVING EAST OUT OF THE FOUR CORNERS REGION. THIS FEATURE WILL MOVE
INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON...SETTING THE STAGE FOR
SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS
ACROSS NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA. AHEAD OF THE SYSTEM STRONG SOUTHERLY
WINDS AT THE SURFACE WILL CONTINUE WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH
LIKELY THROUGH EARLY EVENING.

AS THE UPPER STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES...ISOLATED SUPERCELLS WILL
DEVELOP ALONG THE DRY LINE WEST OF THE AREA BY MID AFTERNOON.
THESE STORMS WILL RAPIDLY MOVE NORTHEAST AND COULD AFFECT
NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA BY EARLY EVENING. ANY DISCRETE STORMS THIS
EVENING WOULD LIKELY HAVE A HIGH TORNADO POTENTIAL WITH VERY LARGE
HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...PRIMARILY WEST OF HIGHWAY 169.

THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL LIKELY HOLD OFF UNTIL MID TO
LATE EVENING AS STORMS TO THE WEST OF THE AREA FORM INTO A
CONVECTIVE COMPLEX...THEN MOVE INTO NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA. DAMAGING
STRAIGHT LINE WINDS WILL BE LIKELY IN THE STRONGER BOW SEGMENTS...
HOWEVER A FEW TORNADOES WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT AS STRONG
LOW LEVEL WIND FIELDS CONTINUE. THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT
OVERNIGHT IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN NORTH AND WEST OF A SILOAM
SPRINGS...MCALESTER LINE.

IN ADDITION TO THE SEVERE WEATHER...ANY STORMS THAT MOVE OVER THE
SAME AREAS OVERNIGHT WILL LIKELY LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLASH
FLOODING.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL BE NEEDED BY EARLY TO MID EVENING.
WATCHES AND WARNINGS WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED FOR PORTIONS OF
NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
FRIDAY...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND HIGH WIND POTENTIAL.
SATURDAY...NO HAZARDS.
SUNDAY...NO HAZARDS.
MONDAY...HIGH WIND POTENTIAL.
TUESDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.
WEDNESDAY...THUNDERSTORM AND HIGH WIND POTENTIAL.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY BE ONGOING ACROSS PORTIONS
OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA FRIDAY MORNING. THESE STORMS MAY MOVE
INTO NORTHWEST ARKANSAS DURING THE MORNING HOURS WITH THE THREAT
FOR SEVERE WEATHER. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT WILL
BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA FRIDAY AFTERNOON WITH
SURFACE HEATING WITH A CONTINUED SEVERE WEATHER THREAT.

STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL BLOW AGAIN MONDAY AS A FRONTAL
BOUNDARY REMAINS NORTH OF OUR REGION. THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL
SLIDE SOUTH TUESDAY AND INTO OUR AREA WEDNESDAY BRINGING A CHANCE
OF THUNDERSTORMS.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
ADDITIONAL WATCHES AND WARNINGS MAY BE NEEDED AGAIN FRIDAY.

INFORMATION.
