Have these systems been totally turned down, or is there any remaining similcast traffic? Thought I'd listen for KMA438 and KMA526 via skip since 6 meters seems to be alive this summer.

Thanks
Joe

I don't believe they are simulcast any longer, but the city does retain the licenses, and has purchased some new radio equipment to use as a backup to the trunked system.

SF Water still uses low band for their East Bay and Hetch Hetchy operations.

Contrary to a lot of people's assumptions, there is a great deal of modern Low Band equipment out there on the market.

All SFPD radio cars still have the old "Low Band" radios in them, and are used for car to car chatter by some units.

Nothing via Dispatching, unless the trunked system goes down.
