Shackled prisoner escapes from Laurel Hospital

Man serving life overpowers two guards while in shackles at Laurel Regional Hospital, takes one of their guns, steals a car, and flees.... Geez... it's a good thing the guards went along to the hospital...

Just heard helo to helo chat that said "the guy from the Laurel incident" was 10-7...

Anybody hear what channels the action was on? Did PG Co use their "tactical" channels?

Tac channel 8 was used for about the last hour to take the pressure off channel 3/9 (they were patched). The chase/search from about 1pm to about 3pm was mainly mpdc off 6D and citywide. Park helicopter eagle 1 can not communicate on specific district channels only on citywide (not sure why but it is what it is).

If we had a major disaster that involved DC and pg it would be a nightmare. Today car A would be recovered in DC and car B would be carjaced in DC but PG county would still be looking for car A for another hour. It was awful, thank god for scanners.

victim was 10-7 on scene with about 4 or 5 viewable gunshot wounds. 3 to 4 shooters?

Did he expect PG county to just kick dirt on him?
