For anyone interested in monitoring the races this weekend:
In past years, these talk groups were on the Virginia Beach P25 system were active.

147.045 (repeater) Race course
446.0 (simplex) area near start and finish lines.

Once again, I'll be at mile 4 for the Saturday 8k event.

The 8k course a little different this year, with the start line on Pacific Avenue this year.

I learned Thursday night at the pre-race meeting that 444.95 (repeater) will be used as a backup during the marathon events this year. Seems the repeater's new location at Town Center offers excellent HT coverage throughout almost all the course.
