Comment: The digital changeover that was supposed to begin on 11/1 won't happen. I visited with my SCSO deputy friend at a church halloween event and he said "We can't get any radios. No digital radios have been installed in any cars yet nor do we have the portable units yet."

Question: On the EDACS system for SCSO, they use the following "systems" designations: MPD1, MPD2, and MPD3. I had my Pro-96 with me and he keyed his radio on MPD2 and it came in on the North Tower control channel. He keyed his radio on MPD3 and, again, it came in on the North Tower control channel. However, we could never get MPD1 to register on a control channel for any of the 3 EDACS systems listed on radioreference.com. Does anyone have any idea how "MPD1" is set up on the SCSO system? My friend says that 50% of the SCSO transmissions are made using the MPD1 setting on their radios. He also has a Pro-96 scanner and says he knows he is not receiving all the transmissions using the 3 SCSO EDACS systems listed here on radioreference either. Anyone have any suggestions.
