No it is not. You have to get the newer scanners for Phase ll.

I have the BCD536HP. I've entered the control frequencies, but I'm not hearing anything. Do I need to enter a band plan or do anything else? It's showing full bars on the reception level. Also, I do have it set up as Phase II.

I programmed my BCD536 like a Smart Zone system. It takes the scanner a short while to lock in on a control channel.

I don't see Phase ll listed so far what I see the Emission Designator is showing is Phase l. Your 396xt will pick that system up.

yes thats what i was told only the so. i have spoke with a couple of radio techs from what they said its a tmda which is phase 2 and hinted it could be fully enc

I picked up SCSO dispatch tonight. It sounded crystal clear. Very nice, compared to what they had before. I still don't have it setup right, though. Programming this new scanner is a beast.

Has anyone run Unitrunker on this system yet. I sure would like to see the log file so the database can be updated correctly.

I set up Discovery for all the frequencies listed by Julian. I set it as P25 Phase II. I got crystal clear traffic on TG 500.

Wait.... You mean, all of that money and trouble and only the S.O. will be using it? Not the other agencies?

From what I have been told is that the S.O. will be the first agency to go live with the new system. But in time other agencies within the county will transition over to the new system also.

I've been having the same issue trying to listen as well. I'm using a GRE PSR-800, and it'll pick them up, but it almost sounds like picket fencing. Oddly enough, if I go to the audio playback, it sounds better than the live audio. I'm also running an external magmount antenna, and the radio is reporting the signal basically at full strength (5/5 bars).
