I don't know much about Pro96Com but I am running it on the system now. Which log files would be helpful?

Edit: If there is anyone within range of the system that can run Pro96Com on the system for several hours, post the log files here and I will handle sending in the update ticket.

SC TRS, Unlicensed freq.'s

I looked but can't find any current FCC licenses for the four freq.'s currently in use for Site 010, old Site 505.
These are definitely in use but apparently they are using them without a license unless they have
an auctioned license somewhere or one not listed in the FCC Db.
None of there licensed freq.'s appear to be in use. Any Ideas?
All I can find is some old expired or cancelled Telephone licenses on these freq.'s.

My question is why are they using unlicensed freq.'s on the trunked system.
They have two FCC licenses but they are not using any of there current narrowband frequencies.

From what I can tell the control channel and alt. control channels are running in Phase 1 under Table 00.
The Voice Channels are running in Phase 2 on both time slots under Table 08 which is showing as TDMA.
Here is the table settings from the dump file.

Phase 1 Identifier / Control Channels / Alt Control Channels
Identifier Update - ID: 00 Base: 150.00000 Spacing: 0.00500 Bandwidth: 0.01250 TX Offset: 5.26000

Phase 2 Identifier / Voice Channels / In two different Time Slots
Phase 2 TDMA Identifier Update - ID: 08 Base: 150.00000 Spacing: 0.00500 Bandwidth: 0.01250 TX Offset: 5.26000 Slots: 2

Sticky

"To Moderator' I would like to see a new "Sticky" created for the Shelby County P25 TRS and all related info merged if possible.
One location to post all the Shelby County P25 TRS info would be nice.
There are so many Shelby County TRS Threads about the same thing posted lately my head is starting to spin.

Thank you kkn50, that is very useful information! I will try to get an update ticket sent in the next day or two.

Since there seems to be some confusion: This system is now simulcast. All of the original transmitter locations are more than likely still online, however they are now a single simulcast cell operating on the same frequencies across all sites.

To the Uniden owners who were unable to follow the system, enter the following into Band Plan 0 of Site 010:
  • Base Freq: 150.0000
  • Spacing: 0.005

Until the DB gets updated, the other sites should also be manually removed, leaving only Site 010.

On the HomePatrol2, I tried creating a new site, labeled 010. Entered a base frequency of 150.0000 and spacing of 0.005

I get an error message that says "Error Out of Range".

Next I tried modifying one of the existing sites, Chelsea, since it had the active control channel listed. No joy there either. Same error message "Error Out of Range".

After that, I tried to create a new system, P25 Conventional with the same site parameters. Again, I get the "Error Out of Range" indication.

Any ideas?

D'oh! Spacing is measured in KHz on Unidens, not MHz. You will need to enter 5.0 instead. Sorry about that!
