Follow up info for Shelby Co P25
The sheriff's department will be on the new P25 system first. The county is having conversations with all other cities and agencies to see who may want to change over to the P25 system. Looks like there is a frequency shortage already and that will be part of the price of admission to the new system if you have a VHF repeater pair. Encryption was mentioned, but unknown to what extent.
