Shiawassee County, Sheriff's Department has received there first motorcycle unit. not sure how many they are expecting, but will be on a lease type situation. There going to evaluate if they can be utelized along with there fleet of cruisers they currently have. they will cut down on fuel costs and vehicle maint. costs. the one i seen today was a large harley with bags. it was black in color with gold letters and badge . Shiawassee county has never had any motor units. city of owosso had motor units back in the 50's, and possible early 60's. but do not have any at this time. do not no what there radio call is at this time, but will be listening.
