Down in Norfolk, there are Moran tugs dedicated to Navy work, and I read somewhere that they have special comm equipment. When logistic ships are docking in layberth such Lamberts Point, they use the same tugs and freqs as commercial vessels. Anybody catch any Navy docking on unusual freqs? The old 140 MHz navy tug freqs are silent, but I wonder about UHF AM. Anybody catch anything?

I would think that commercial tugs would just use the regular VHF marine channels.

Up the bay from you in Baltimore the Moran tugs use VHF marine channel 77 (156.875 Mhz).
